I had a Reese Signature 18k in my F450 and it clunked starting and stopping. It had the four puck mount, not the rail, and the legs were adjusted snug, so the noise must be in the head? I now have a B&W Companion in my 2013 RAM 3500 and there is NO noise! Absolutely quiet! At first I thought something was wrong, but no it is just quiet and I like it that way.
