Intervac CSRM

I have a Intervac CSRM. I had actually never used it but figured even though nobody says anything good, I will give it a try. I grabbed the hose and connected it and even though it starts, there is no suction. I looked in the manual and it refers to an on/off control but I ha e no such thing on mine. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not sure what model Intervac are installed on the newer rigs, but the one on our 2012 worked just barely OK, and to get to the far reaches of the bedroom, it took two of us to manage the hose. We finally put all the parts and attachments in storage and now have a Shark.ionFlex rechargeable battery operated vacuum that works great and we can store it in the little cabinet that the Intervac is located. This reminds me, I need to break out the vacuum and run it in our rig

We've never actually used the hose, but we use the "Toe Kick Dust Pan" feature all the time. One day you could hear it running, but dust and dirt didn't move. Pulled the Rear Basement bulkhead and found the hose laying on the floor. Re-attached and bingo, dust and dirt sucked in.

Didn't notice what year you have, but on our 2017 they put a second connection in the wall in the basement. If it's open then you'd just be sucking basement air. That said we only use the toe kick because our Shark is an actual vacuum.
