I have flow thru sensors. However, I still need to take the sensor off to add air to the tire. If I had to do it all over again I would have NOT gotten flow thru sensors.

I have the non flow thru sensors. I typically have to add 2-3 psi of air in the spring and am good for the season. You do have to use the little tool (basically a special wrench) to remove them. But really little different than removing a simple valve cap.
There have been a number who have said the air thru the flow thru type is so slow they are better off removing them to add air.

I use the non flow thru and like it just fine. I would have to remove a valve cap anyway so it's about the same.

I have the flow thru and agree with others, they take to long to fill with, I keep the small hex key in a small tool box in the basement, i take them off to add air.
