Inline Water Filter
Montana High Country 331rl
New owner as of 10/11/2021 and new member here, as of today.
Question: Does the Montana HC 331rl have a inline water filter? If so, where is it located?
Have previously checked all of the obvious locations and cannot find one.

Welcome to the forum!
Your rig does not have an inside filter. You can add one to the hose coming in if desired.

Welcome to the forum! As far as I know, Keystone has never included a water filter in any Montana.

We have an inline water filter and a water softener cannister connected to our unit. I've rigged it up so the filter is just before the cannister and I have set the whole thing in a plastic tub to catch anything JUST INCASE it should leak. It did once and was lucky the tub was there. It sets just beside the convenient center in the basement and is easy access for changing the filter and back flushing the softener. Sorry I don't have any pictures of it. I've drilled a hole in the convenient center blank wall and run a 4 ft hose from the filter through the bottom whole in the convenient center and connect the city water to it. By the way, I just went down to Lowes or Home Depot and purchased a whole house filter system use it and it works great. .

Another non-optional accessory to add is a water pressure regulator. I have been in several situations where pressure is up around 90PSI, which can lead to internal pipes leaking. And the other cheap water filters help with sediment, but don't really help with taste. Bigger investment required. Welcome!

I currently have a whole trailer filter on, but when the filter needs changing I believe I'll move it inside under the kitchen sink and filter just the cold water at the tap for drinking. Is there any benefit to filtering the water I bath in and flushing the toilet?

I would at least use a cheap 20 micron inline filter for the whole rig. You don't know the quality of water from most campgrounds, so it's good insurance to prevent problems with plumbing, fixtures and appliances.
We don't drink campground water, only bottled water, so the 20 micron inline is all I use. At around $15.00 for 6 months, it's relatively cheap.
