Found the problem. It was a fried connector where the romex cable met with the exterior cable. It looks like it was torched when I had a trailer hitch welded to the frame 8 months ago. Guess it took this long to show up. The weld is right next to the connector. Poor workmanship by the welder. Anyway remade the connections and all is well now. Power restored. Thanks to all for the help.
