Shout out, great support!
Hi all,
It occurs to me that we often hear only about the times when support does not meet our expectations. So, I want to send a shout out to the support at Montana for a recent experience.
My issue started on Thanksgiving day, when I lost power to the rig. My friend has an electrician that works for him so he came over. After some basic troubleshooting, he said it would take someone familiar with RVs and this model in particular.
I emailed Matt Wolkins (the solar and power guru for Montana), and he returned my email shortly - on the long weekend, right!
Long story short, Matt got me to test some things to find where the issue was, and arranged to have Keystone send out the failed part. But he also gave me instructions that I could give to the electrician so that he could restore power while we waited for the part.
This is beyond my expectations. And, I've had similar responses this summer with the solar system; it was a combination of me not fully understanding the system, but also some troubleshooting help from the factory. I would say my experiences with the team at Montana have been the best I've ever experienced in over 20 years of owning RVs.
Great work, and I want to make sure all know how impressive this is!
Brad

Brad, glad it worked out. We also had an issue with the dreaded PD transfer switch and got assistance on a Saturday. We have had great support and love our Super Solar system.

Over the years we've had great responses from Keystone Customer service. On several occasions going over and above to get us right and on the road.

That's really cool. Good for you. As a new Monty owner that is great to hear. How did you get the Email address?

When we first purchased our unit, Sam Lengeritch the Product Manager reached out to us as well as the regional sales rep.
Sam shared the email addresses as needed. I suspect this was due to our ordering the Super Solar Flex package, which he indicated was to be supported directly by the factory not the dealers.
If you want to reach out to Sam directly, you can PM him here on the forum as username MOOTANA.
hth!

Hey Kowbra, thanks a bunch for the info on Sam's PM. Could be useful in the future.

When we are willing to say when we have got poor service we should be willing to share when we have got outstanding service. It’s only fair not only to the Montana or other companies but to each other. Sure everybody is going to make mistakes but when they correct them it’s hard to find fault.

It is good to get that kind of service especially during off hours. Sounds like the new solar system is their baby and are keeping an eye on it.
