Always something!

Well, last year our toilet entertained us with a sticking water valve that caused the toilet to fill up and overflow...now the waste ball seal is not holding water...can't win! We ordered the Thetford "kit" to deal with this matter, but the "kit" did not contain "everything" needed to do the job (what, no grease?). Will have to contact Thetford to determine if a substitute "grease" can be used to complete the job. By the way, the March 2012 issue of Trailer Life mag has a "how-to" article on how to change out the waste ball seal...just to make sure we are paying attention, they seem to have mixed up the text with supporting pictures! Like I said, always something...but at least for us, it is something in our summer home in Maine!!!
