This post has answered pretty much all my other questions!...I have to say one of the major factors in my looking strongly at the Montana vs. one other SOB is this site...nice to know if/when I get out there if I have an issue I will be able to find help here...great comfort...thanks everyone!
The 312X has a listed dry pin weight of 2350. Diesel engines will pull it just fine. The question is do you mind towing when you are over the carrying capacity of your truck?
A 3/4T has about 2650 carrying capacity and a 1T SRW has about 3250.

A 312X will put you over a 3/4T diesel
It will run you close to rated capacity on a 1T SRW.

We added about 800 lbs to the Pin weight with passengers, hitch, and what we take with us. That was pre W/D
