Progressive EMS-HW50C

Installed Progressive's EMS-HW50C in camper. Currently using 30 Amp adapter for power at home. Unit shows correct display for single leg operation. EMS Unit has low humming noise, is this normal? I don't recall reading anything on this when researching.

It is normal to have a slight hum or buzzing sound.

Yep it is normal, the readings are a great help when you are on 30 amps and have to balance what you are using.

It's doing what it's supposed to. You'll love the useful info you get, particularly when your on 30amps.

Your EMS does not pass power immediately. When the timer says, "ok apply power" it sends a voltage to the relay (that clunk you might here). The relay closes and passes power. They humming you hear is probably the relay staying closed.
Good question. Hope this helps.

Thanks for everyone's reply. Do I get any "Kohl Points" for direct response to my question?
