Colorado restrictions

Does Colorado have a height restriction of only 13'.....if so how does everyone tow thru there?....illegally I guess...anyone ever been stopped or checked for height of trailer? Got a ticket?....got the limit restriction from Good SAMs campground mapping software program.....

No vehicle unladen or with load shall exceed a height of 13' (3.96
meters); except that vehicles with a height of 14' 6" (4.42
meters) shall be operated only on highways designated by the
State Department of Transportation. C.R.S. 42-4-504(1)

In other words, don't complain if a tree limb takes the AC off when your on a side road.

Though mine is (the specs say) 12' 9", I've never been checked by anyone for height nor have I ever seen anyone being checked for height. You're further off concerning yourself with low tree branches in camsites.

I think Colorado has that because of all the tunnels through the mountains! I know you sometimes have to have an escort through some of them because of your height. I've never had to do it but have heard of it from other RVr's!
