The way our fireplace is installed, the access panel at bottom barely opens. When we try to manually use the controls can only open the panel enough to stick a couple fingers in and adjust.. Do others open all the way so you can get to these controls? Our model 2012 3150RL... Thanks

Ours open up to above 90 degrees, you can read the writing on controls.

Ours opens all the way. Call Keystone customer service and ask if that's the way it's supposed to be. My guess is they have something wrong or the fireplace has something wrong. If it's the fireplace, call their customer service. They're great to work with.

Called and talked to Dimplex and they said it wasn't installed correctly so I guess I will just deal with it instead of having a different trim piece put in or it adjusted, might turn out worse... When we use the fireplace it only brought temp up from 55 to 57 in 2 hours is this about right? Seemed to put out more heat in the one we were shown before..

Are these fireplaces adjustable for amount of heat they put out? Also, do they all have fans built in?

Ours opens all the way and i really like the way it warms thing up. I do turn the ceiling fan on low in reverse though.

I have a 2007 3650RK with a Dimplex fireplace. It heats up okay, but IMHO the squirrel cage fan doesn't putout enough heated air. Beyond one foot in front of the fireplace you can't feel the heat, but I can tell you the little wooden shelf above the fireplace sure gets hot. Customer Service says that it is normal.

Our 2011 3400 fireplace had the same problem. Couldn't get the access panel at the bottom open. What I found was the unit had been installed to tightly to the frame around it. The panel at the hinged area was hitting the wood before it opened all the way. Simple fix was to remove the screws securing the fireplace to the side wood frame, install a couple of small shims at the bottom of the fireplace metal frame ( such as self stick shelf bumpers) and then reattach the screws holding the fireplace to the wood. It didn't take much, probably less than an 1/8th of an inch on ours. Works just fine now, panel opens up fully. If you get down and look close when you try to open it, you'll see what I mean.
