TV that will haul anything

Found this in Sparwood British Columbia, Canada. Its called the "Biggest Truck in the World" A few facts. 278 gallons of oil, fuel tank 800 gallons (ouch thats got to hurt when you fill it up), top speed 30mph, uses 70 gallons of diesel per hour.

It will take a while to torque all these bolts, and the tires are made by Yokohama in Nomichi Japan.

Bob, found this video of that truck:

The Cat 797 below is from the Suncor operation in the Alberta (Ft McMurray) oil sands. My son was thinking of going up there a year or so ago. He was a heavy eqipment operator in the Air Force (RED HORSE unit in the Gulf and Korea). Suncor wanted to train him to operate one of these. He has a wife that he had to consider and declined. Has a great job where he is in Yorkton, SK.

Suncor claims this is "largest truck in the world". This is all I know about this truck.

Then there's this one:

Quote:
quote:The Liebherr CT 282B truck, a 224 ton monster with a massive 3650-horsepower diesel engine. The huge diesel engine actually generates electricity to power two electric drive motors. (Also hauls 400 tons)
Here are all three:

The Cat, Terex and Liebherr

Then, there's the "World's Largest Pickup", the International CXT:

Would we need a "slider hitch" in this one?

No, but you may need 30" wheels on the Monty to keep it close to level going down the road.

Dave, your son's unit Red Horse built the base at Phan Rang Vietnam (65-66) I was there 66-67.

Thanks for the link and competitive info. I posted this as I was there yesterday. We are headed across lower Canada on Rt-3 and Rt-1, will drop back into the USA at international Falls MN. Then visit relatives in MN, WI, IL, and IN before heading home to OR.

Best wishes on your shoulder surgery and recovery.

Thanks, Bob. Derek was a member of the 5th Civil Engineering Wing out of Minot AFB. I am very proud of him and his contribution in the Gulf and then for a year on the DMZ in Korea.
