2015 Montana HC 310RE

Hello all, first post since purchasing my 2015 Montana HC 310RE. After a few trips and probably 2000km (from Canada) a couple issues we found with our new unit. After picking this unit up and pulling it home about 500km I stepped inside when I arrived home and found the wooden valance overtop the kitchen table that holds the pot lights was hanging from 2 screws. I removed it, disconnected the wires and booked it in to have it repaired. Second issue, while taking a shower noticed water leaking from the sliding shower door track onto the floor. Looks like a quick fix with some silicon. Third issue is where the kitchen sink drain attaches to the piping, the gasket seems to be crushed and pushed out causing a minor leak under the island. And fourth and final..returned home from a close camping trip and discovered that the overhead ceiling fan has come loose and dropped down and is resting on the paneling in the ceiling. Has anyone has any of these problems with parts falling off the ceiling? I avoid bumps and slow down for the bumps I can't avoid. I can still say I am very impressed with this fifth wheel otherwise. Hoping this will be the last gremlin in my new unit.

You will probably find that some things are just not installed correctly, that being said you will also find that some things are just impossible to keep attached and need to be checked often. I have a rear sconce lamp that will not stay attached to the wall no mater what I do. I fix it in one place and it will come off in a different place. What I have to do is while on the road I check it several times and tighten it. As far as water leaks from the plumbing, I would check every connection or any place you think a leak will occur at least 2-3 times a year while the coach is new. They can come loose with temperature changes. Once the pex connections are tight the should stay that way.

We had the large wooden trim on the top of our largest slide fall off once. Can't put something that heavy up with brad nails and then expect it to stay up there on todays roads, but Keystone did. Put it back up with screws and it's been up ever since.

The large wood trim over our kitchen slide fell off as several of the brads used had bent over and not penetrated the wood behind. Both our Pendant lights over the kitchen counter also fell off over time. The skilled craftsmen had missed the wooden block they put in the ceiling to attach the light to.. They work pretty fast on the assembly line and things get overlooked.

We had a fan drop. Reinstalled using toggle bolts, pretty easy permanent fix.
