California Hwy 1 NORTH San Francisco-Leggett

Anybody have a info on California Hwy 1 Size restrictions San Francisco NORTH to Leggett. We have a 2012 Montana 3455/SA. With the truck we are 57 feet in total. Anybody been on that part of HWY 1? Any problem areas?

You shouldn't pass Ft Bragg, head east on 20 to Willits and north on 101 to Leggett. I wouldn't with your rig.

Even taking 1 north from SF to Fort Bragg is dicey very narrow in spots and sharp hairpin turns. Fort Bragg north is doable but not advised as again it is narrow and has lots of sharp curves, not as bad a the south part of 1 but still not the best bet.

Better to take 101 from SF and if you want to see the coast go west on 20 to Fort Bragg and leave the 5er there and explore north and south with just the truck.

1 from Bodega Bay is a great trip but really not a good idea towing anything bigger than say a 20 foot trailer.

If your are going over there a really nice place to see is Fort Ross the old Russian fort.
