New Hitch

I just wanted to give a short report on the new Trailersaver air ride hitch I had installed on my new Chevy. GREAT!!!! Easy to hook up and unhook and supports the Monty like a dream. Strange to look in the rear view mirror and see the Monty floating around and the truck as stable as can be. In my opinion, this may just be the hitch that will increase longevity of my unit.

I knew you'd be happy with it. I think the major drawback to anyone purchasing this hitch is the initial outlay kind of overwhelms them. I had studied this hitch long before they manufactured them for the smaller trucks and asked the question, "Why don't they build them for the smaller pickups?" It was shortly after that when they appeared on the market. I purchased ours in 2003 so it is now five years old. Wouldn't be without it. Am happy to discuss this hitch with anyone interested. BTW, I have no fiscal relationship with the manufacturer of the hitch.

Phil I'm surprised if you don't have a extension on this hitch. I don't think mine would have cleared the sides of the TV when hooked up. Did you get the "SmartAir" unit or the standard unit TS3? I like the smart air as it maintains & exhausts itself as needed. You'll be happy for years to come I know DW has less pain now when traveling compared to the previous Reese hitch.

Orv, You're right! Love it so far!!!!! It was pricey, but we want to keep our Montana for many years and figured this to be a good investment to that end.....

Chuck, No extension, however, I did have to lower my MorRyde pin box and now have about 6inches of clearance over the rails. I got the TS3 with the under the dash air control. I wanted to be able to control (control freak maybe?) the ride on the fly if need be. Sweet ride from Tucson to Phoenix and the DW even noticed the difference (and that's saying something).

I have owned the Trailer Saver air ride hitch and what exav8tr is correct its and awesome hitch, and the 5th wheel will ride as if its on a cloud.

Yes you can get spacers for the T.S. up to three inches. I had to get the 3" spacers for my 2005 Chevy towing the Cambridge. If we were still full timing we would have went with the T.S. GBY....

You also have a Awesome Truck thats under that T.S.
