New (maybe) Montana owner
Hello to All;
My husband and I are about to purchase a Montana 3121RL. And I really need help settling on a dealer. I'm really in love with this unit. We've been campers since 1998 and have, like a lot of you, owned a few (4). This will be our first Montana. Hopefully you will excuse my newbie questions.

Sue and Pat,
Welcome to the forum! No issue with questions as we all learn from them.
Two things you will use the dealer for: sale and service.
If your local dealer give you a decent price - buy from him. If you are not getting a decent price consider traveling to buy or having one shipped.
My rig came from out of state and I had no issue getting warranty work done locally, other folks here on the forum have had local folks turn them away for warranty service if they didn't buy there.

sale and service are a big thing depending on where you live.
to get a quick price to start with call lakeshore rv in michigan and ask them what they'd sell you one for. go from there.
lakeshore may not be close to you but they do ship anywhere in north america and you can go there to pick it up also.
if nothing else, it would give you a baseline.....some of the rv dealers out there can charge you $10-20K more. yes, that much.
couple of things, make sure you have 2 A/C units.

Welcome to the forum! One thing I would avoid is buying from a Camping World. There are a few good ones out there, but the number of stories on other forums and the RV Horror stories site on facebook would keep me away from them unless I had previous experience with the location.

I'm sorry to hear that. We're in MN and have been dealing with the Monticello CW store. They've gotten really good reviews here. I hope we aren't going to be sorry. We haven't signed the papers yet, but we go with our rig (2014, before FR took over, Trilogy 3850RL) tomorrow. I'll definitely be on the lookout.
