DisneyWorld area campgrounds
We're leaving Silver Springs heading for Titusville and the Kennedy Space Center. On Friday we would like to go to the Orlando area and go to Disney and other sites on our way north. Any recommendations for good rv parks in the Disney area?

http://www.mousemountainrvresort.com/ Try this one. It is older but in a good area and well maintained. Make sure you tell them the length of the RV and how many
slide outs. 20 mins to the Magic Kingdom main gate. We stayed there for 3 winter seasons.

I understand that Disney is now charging $40 day for parking in their lot. You might find a campground with a free shuttle to the park.

40.00 a day is for premium parking which is a joke. the regular rate is 20.00 per day but you must use RV parking and that is expensive.
I don't know of any CG with a free shuttle to the park. Hotels, Motels and Resorts..yes.

Tropical Palms
Been here 4 months, leaving in two weeks.
good PARK, front desk is a joke, employees are clueless. 10 min to Disney. Absolutely anything you want or need is within 10 min. Also a 10 min walk to Old Town with several restaurants, car shows on the weekend, band on Wednesday night.

Nice park near everything day rates for the Montana 70 to 80.00 per night. Weekly , and long term about average for the area.
The best deal is Ft wilderness if you can get reservations. It is the least expensive resort on the park.

http://www.campgroundreviews.com/
I didn't like Tropical Palms all that much. Sites can be tight and the electric/sewer/water hookups are not always in normal locations. Others have noted the same thing in the above reviews.
The park was clean and they are attentive. I didn't have any issues with front office staff.
