The internal wiring comes from the plug at the rear to the ATS (transfer switch) to the EMS and then to the CBs. As the EMS has no power, look closely at the ATS. Does it have power coming in and going out?

You mentioned the generator up above. What has been going on with it?
EMS and ATS I dont know what that is or where to look on the trailer for them

OK This is weird. I unpluged the trailer at the post for about 20 minutes. We just went and plugged back into the post now everything is back on and running

that is either the plug was loose or you have a loose connection i would think. but the fridge outlet should have been working if you had 13.8 volts unless the invertor is off

A EMS is an Electrical management System. Popular brands are Progressive and SurgeGuard. They monitor the 120V power and disconnect it if something is not correct (low voltage, high voltage, open ground, etc.)
The ATS is the Automatic Transfer Switch that determines which power source, generator or shore, will be passed to the CB panel.

Its the power cord. When we move it or shake it the lights go on and off

No I am in my drive way. I had this post put in 15 years ago.

Something is not making any sense to me, why are the low voltage light going off when we move the plug and cord the battery's should be taking over and they are not

unless they are dead and that would be why the inverter is not powering your fridge also.pull the plug and check the battery voltage, i know you said 13.8 but that would be charging current when plugged in. when unplugged see what the batteries are for voltage.

charlie if the lights are blinking and when you moved the cable around when it was not working and then they started to work i bet it is in the outlet where you are plugged in. if you shut off the power to that plug and make sure by testing that it is off you could take that plug apart and probably see either something burned or loose. if you leave it plugged in without fixing or finding the problem it may get hot and start a fire or possibly damage something electrical inside, dont want to scare you but just be aware until you find out the problem.

Thanks Al,
Been busy here but did get the dealership to come out and fix the electrical. Its not fixed but they know what happen and parts are on order. Something to do with the surge protector that's built into the system went bad and the power cord is needed to be replaced on the take up real. Sometime having these extras on the coach may not be a good idea, more to go wrong.

Update....

Camping world came by today and picked up our 5er to take back to the shop. All that they are telling me is that I have major electrical and they need to have it in the shop for repairs. They didn't tell what wrong other then they will have it fix hopefully in a week or so.

This is really scary. We though that we were home free with the trailer and being in good company with Montana family now we have a trailer that we have not spent a night it and it all ready in for a major repair. Not felling to great right now..

Check this

I had a similar situation where one side of my 50 amp had went bad on breaker box. Storm must have knocked it out or something. I had a portable generator and when I hooked it up everything worked. Replaced 50 amp breaker at the box and everything has worked since.

Wondering if the transfer switch between coach and generator is stuck on generator? But you should still have 12 volt lights. To lose both is very odd.

Check the wires going into the inverter, when my camper was new the ground wire was touching one of the hot wires and caused a short. May be your problem.

Mark sure they give you a written detailed explanation of problems and solutions, without it if the problem persists you won't have any recourse
