I have a power outage! The back AC, the refrigerator, the washer/dryer, and the inverter have shut off. No breakers are off.

What do I check?

Please help?

Check the park power breakers first. A tripped breaker can look like it is not tripped. Cycle all the way down, then back on. Same with inside breakers. Inverter should have no bearing on no park power to the coach. If you have a power management system like the progressive, look at its info panel to see what it says for error codes.

Hey Don,

Sounds like you've lost on leg from the 50 amp plug.
Do you have a volt meter?
disconnect from pedestal and rig.

Start with the source. the power pedestal.

Check each leg for 110 volts.
Add the next part. surge protector, then cable checking each as they are added.

The plug the the converter was plugged into has no power. I plugged the converter into an extension cord and have the the fridge back but still no back AC or Washer/Dryer. No tripped breakers. No tripped GFI.

That was it! The power cord on the back of the 5er had come loose some how. I am guessing someone mowing here at the RV park hit. I tightened it down and everything came back on. Wheww!

Thanks everyone who responded. You folks are the best resource.

Are you running off of park power or trying to run only the fridge off of the inverter? If trying to run off of park power, do you have a power management system and if so what is it saying? If trying to run off of the inverter and not shore power, then the only thing you should be worried about is the fridge as the other systems can't be powered off of the inverter and have no bearing on your issue. Tell us exactly what your power source is for your power problem.

Just thinking....
your converter may have been off for a while, and not charging the battteries.
The inverter may have been running the fridge until the batteries got too low...

I think you have the situation pegged ron. Don, my power cord is held in place by a plastic ring that screws onto the power inlet so disconnects or loose power cables can't happen. Assume you must have something that is not a secure fitting and that could lead to resistance heating at the connection and a possible fire. John

We found this at the plug inside the rear wall. It was when our unit was new two years ago. Half of the stuff just quit inside the coach . We found it by accident when someone bumped the power cord and the light flickered. The factory never tightened the wires in the socket
