Question on Hitch Adjustment

I just purchased a new slider hitch. I have about 8 inches between the bottom of my trailer to the bed rail. My trailer is pretty close to level but it might be a little higher on the front end of trailer. Just wondering what distance most people have on their rigs. Thanks.

Seems like 6 inches is what everyone shoots for. At that you still have to be careful in some really uneven spots. If it is pretty level with 8 inc of clearance I think I would leave it alone.

6 is the number I agree. Getting your rig level in my opinion is just as important.

Seems it's not broke so don't fix it.

Bed to trailer

6-8” is what I’ve always used... for road travel.. Our smaller fifth wheel we turned the axles and got almost 10” and still wasn’t quite enough for where we drug it.. Don’t think the Monty will be going there.
