I have a old posting under access handle back in 2/2014. I put a pin lock on my handle. Look up my posting the link may still work.

I just tried our extended grab bar.

If the Stromberg extended grab bar is mounted on the rear side and usually normal side of the door, ours will easily open with a door push. If it was mounted on the front side of the door frame, it might stick but with a really good shove, think that it would w=still open. With that said, I see no need for any mods to ours. The original grab bar - no idea if it might stick.

This was talked about a few years back and I did this same thing. The handle can still be put over the door, but doesn't lock there anymore. I've had the screw there for five years and a whole lot of miles, and never had the handle fly out from driving.
