Freshwater tank mod?

Freshwater tank mod.
I was wondering how big the freshwater tank really was. The brochure says 66 gallons (thread below says Keystone adds freshwater + water heater + pipes). I have a water meter on my freshwater fill line and the most I have every put in my freshwater tank was 43 gallons then it overflows the vent at the back.
I searched previous posts on this and found that the freshwater tank is only 50 gallons

Has anyone upgraded it to a larger tank?
What is the largest that will fit?

Don’t have an answer to your question. But instead of changing the bank why not get a bladder for your truck and a transfer pump?

There appears to be a little room on the off door side (as viewed with an endoscope) on my 3120, but not much. I'd think the suggestion for extra water in the truck bed may be a better bet. Better weight distribution as well.

I have a couple related questions:
1) What water meter do you use and how would you rate it? I am considering whether to get one or not.
2) How long does it take to fill your tank at the campground fill station?

I ask because mine takes 20 - 30 minutes to fill (when WH is already full). I have my filter in line, but no pressure regulator, using the power fill valve setting with the hose connected to the city water inlet.

I filled the 30 gallon tank on my old rv in 5 minutes. At 50 gallos, this maybe 10 mins? I'd like to know others experience. Maybe I have a kinked line or something?

This is the meter I have.

I use a pressure regulator set to 50psi. I have 3 in lines water filters. Takes about 25 minutes to fill my tank.

I am VERY intimate with the underbelly of my unit. I have seen 100% of it. I can tell you that the front cross member is removable and there is like 3-4 feet of open space in front of it to the closest cross member.

I'm shur you could install a larger tank if you fab up something to adequately support it.

I can tell you that our HC353 was listed at 64 gals of fresh water. I had a leak and had to remove the tank to repair it and it is 50 gals.. There is room to put a larger tank in if you would want. I can tell you getting the bottom cover off is a pain. All the screws were rusted and I broke several. Drilling to put new screws into the frame was a challenge also!

By the way I learned how to spin weld plastic fittings on.

When the manufacture says what the fresh water capacity is this also includes the hot water heater as it is fresh water also. Most of us have the 12 gallon water heater. If you have a stated 66 gallon fresh water capacity then subtract the 12 gallons and your fresh water tank is 54 gallons.

That's a pretty fair guesstimate. I don't remember what it was but I remember getting a manufacturer and part number off of my tank and it was listed at 50 gallons

Daryles, I have the same water meter. I usually put about 10-15 gallons in our fresh tank for travel days, flushing, washing hands, etc. We don't drink water from our tanks. I carry bottled water for that.
When I bought the meter, I tested it with a gallon jug. Seems pretty accurate.
My unit also is spec'd at 66 gallons fresh water, but I can only put in about 50 gallons before the overflow is streaming out, with the water heater full. I tried this after having drained the tank. Water heater is 12 gallons also.
I just bought a 330gph transfer pump and 35 gallon bladder tank on Amazon for hunting season this year. We have full hookups at the park, but water is turned off in early October to prevent freezing. I can get water at the comfort station and refill as needed using the pump and bladder tank.
