Repair needed

My friends purchased a 2019 20th Anniversary Edition 3121RL. The outlet/charger tower near the dining table won’t spring up. The tower can be manually pulled up and threads are visible. My friend is thinking that the base has some sort of spring that threads to the bottom of the tower.

Does anyone know how to access the bottom of the tower and repair?

Thanks in advance!

There are a couple of ways to access that, but that said they just pull up on a 2017 so I'm not sure if it has a spring in a new one. The easiest way to access it would be to carefully pry the end of the wooden cabinet off.

Either that or just pull it up when you need it. Might be easier in the long run.

Mine was difficult to pull up. As mentioned by DQDick I accessed it by removing the the panel.

Pop Up Power Point

Here is a picture of the unit. Looks like it has threads that hold it tight from underneath. Kind of like a ball point pen. Push it and it pops up a little. Doesn’t look hard to replace if you can access below and stomach the price. I think I’d have to pull it up when I needed it. The top came off of mine and I had to super glue that back on already so they appear to be problematic.

Unbelievable the difference in price. Thanks for finding this. Didn’t think to look at EBay. Need to remember to look there in the future. That’s why this forum is so great.

2019...get it to a dealer for warranty work. that's the easiest way -- I'd think
