I found this part in the basement of our Montana. Any idea what it goes to?

Looks like the seal around the door of the basement maybe a extra piece they left when they cut it off

Part of it looks like awning rail where the corded side slides in.
Interesting how each individual piece is equidistant from each end. Metal, rubber etc.

Put it with all the other unused stuff we all drag around for about five years then throw it out

I found that same piece of molding under our bed too. I brought it to the attention of the service manager while we had the rig in for warranty work. It was gone and forgotten until your post. I have no idea if the spot it goes was found or if they just tossed it.
