Samsung Refrigerator #RF18hfnbsr

We have a 2019 Montana 3791 RD. A word of caution: The Samsung in our rv has a problem of the drain tube freezing and the water draining in to the left crisper drawer and freezing underneath it too.. In order to have that fixed there is a series of parts from Samsung. Now the real problem is one of the parts is no longer available...never will be available. Now I am going thru our dealer to deal with Samsung and hopefully have it replaced.
Just putting this out!

This has been an on going problem for years. Part available at Amazon part #DA61-06796A $7.88 for pack of 2. Lots of You Tube videos to help with self repair. Simple fix.

That is different than ours. Ours part # is DA63-04439A. I have to take it to the dealer for the extended warranty to say it needs to be replaced

You don't need any special parts. Clean the drain, ice, etc at both ends. Make sure the temperature is not below 35°-37°. Add a piece of bare aluminum #12 wire to the defrost heater in the shape of a shepherds hook at least ~6" long hanging into the drain hooked over the heater. Copper wire works good also but aluminum conducts heat very well into the drain during defrost cycle.

So yours is different from scores of us who have/had the same problem? You can have it repaired yourself in the time it takes to hook up to take Montana to dealer and then have to wait possibly months for someone to make a decision and act (or not) on replacing the one you have. Have fun sitting at your dealer and sparring with the extended warranty people.

That is exactly what my 14 y/o Son did to fix ours.
