My Second Repair

After 2 years, 7,920 miles, & 70 nights on the Monty, I have had to make only my second repair.
A bolt came out of the couch (that holds the back when you swing it over to make the bed). 5 minutes to replace.
First repair was last year when a screw came out of one day/night shade. Took longer to remove/replace the valance that put the shade back.
Not another problem in all that time and miles. Even the Apollo 1/2 Time still works great. (Oop! Probably shouldn't have said that )
Couldn't be more pleased with it so far.

So glad you have a great report. Hope you get many, many more trouble free miles.

On one of your longer free days arm your self with flat bladed, phillips, nut drivers and go thoughout the rig and tighten down every fastener you can get to, inside the rig, outside the rig and even on top and under the rig.

I have done that a couple of times over the years and you'll find that the bouncing trouncing and jarring of the rig as it bounds down the road might cause a few fasteners to come loose. You might even find a few that are gone (like at the undercarriage); just dropped off the rig and into the road some where. Inside the rig, at least you can look around and find them, but outside the rig, they are gone forever either into the environment or into a vehicle's tire behind you (ouch).

I wish you continued luck with your rig. I have had more than 2 problems and we still love our Monty.

Thanks for the report. It's nice to hear a good report. We're very good at reporting problems, which I guess is typical of nearly any of these forums, but we rarely post our good experiences with the equipment. Thanks.

Pull your Monty over the Alcan - especially the last 400 miles through the Yukon Territories and I guarantee you'll have a few more things to fix! Ask me how I know this!!!

I would have expected that kind of durability from Keystone. Now, if ONLY we could get some of the dealers to be that responsible and competent, we'd be in tall cotton. (I'm not naming names here, but you who have followed my "Please return my Monty" saga for a year now--yes, it's now been a year exactly--will understand why I say that.)

Glad you are having a wonderful experience!

Carolyn

Uh, did I date myself with that "tall cotton" remark? Probably.
