Furnace 2003 3295RK Big Sky
Has anyone out there had to have their furnace removed from the cabinet to be repaired? We took ours into an authorized repair facility (Camping World in San Bernardino, CA)and were told that while the problem was in the furnace unit, they could not get the furnace out of the cabinet and refused to do any more work. We contacted our dealer in Reno as well as the Montana factory directly as there was only a month left on the warrantee for the furnace. Both the factory and the dealer have agreed to fix the problem. Unfortunately, we had to leave our unit in So Cal before just Christmas due to weather (we had to get home) so we're not going to be able to get the unit back up to Reno until next month.
We have the dated invoice from Camping World stating that the problem was in the furnace unit but that they (CW) would not work on it further due to their inability to get the unit out of the cabinet. They maintain the cabinet will have to be torn out (but not by them). In the mean time, we have no heat.
We're just wondering if the Camping World employee was just inept or was this a design flaw? Anyone?
