Need CG in AZ/NM 07-08 with large dog run
We are thinking about somewhere in Arizona or New Mexico for the 07-08 winter months. The golden girls and I are spoiled by the RGV park we are at (Bentsen Palm Village, Mission, TX)as it has a huge fenced dog run. Any suggestions for parks? Needs to be full hookups and a plus would be roomy sites. Thanks all.

The Voyager, just off I-10 on the east side of Tucson, has two runs, one about 60-70 yds long X 8 yds wide, the other 40 or so yds long, same width. It is a BIG RV park, so the runs get lots of use...sort of a doggie commune deal. If they play well with others, shouldn't be a big problem. You can also take the dogs out into the desert and turn 'em lose, but I wouldn't advise that. Thorns, ill-tempered other critters and unfriendly environment. Even a few coyotes around. Call The Voyager at 800-424-9191 for the up-to-date and exact info. They are not "inexpensive", but we have enjoyed the facilities and all the thnigs to do right there and have stayed there three times, last time for 60 days..
Best Regards

We stayed at Canyon Vistas campground in Gold Canyon, AZ. It had a very large dog run area.

We are at Cocopah RV & Golf Resort in Yuma -- have a 2 1/2 acre unfenced, off leash (for friendly dogs) dog park. Sites are quite roomy at 40' with full hook ups --- check out our website for pictures (wherearelesandjulie.com). If you want further info just send us a PM. Julie & Les

Las Quintas Oasis in Yuma has a large dog run, and the lots are huge. Pull through's for overnighters, and short term, large lots for those who want to stay all winter. It does get full, so book early. $1575 for 6 monthes in, 6 out. 1090 (?0 for 3 monthes, plus electric.
