Kitchen Clock Pic
I finally found a clock that went with our Kitchen. We found it at Walmart and it is a simple install on the Kitchen cupboard of a 2955RL and possibly other models. Just drill two holes through the cupboard and screw from behind. The clock comes with a packaging piece that you can use as a template. We have had a lot of compliments on this simple improvement. The camera flash makes the woodgrain look lighter when it really is a good match to the doors.

Bob and Kathi, I like your clock better than mine. I wish I would have seen that one first.

Don and Donna, We had this clock in our Cardinal..so we were happy to be able to use it again. It is probably every bit of 5 years old so maybe that is why you did not see it.
Charlie...see good minds do think the same!

We are almost retired, bought a clock for CW that ONLY shows the day of the week! I attached it to the wall with the 3M systems, I don't think I would drill through my cabinet for mounting a clock.

I don't think I would use an adhesive on photo finish wood panelling.

A clock that tells the day of the week...now that's what we need. Less "Honey, what day is it?"

The 3M adhesive easy removal system is supposed to come off any surface without damage. I'm using it for a couple things in the Montana, but haven't had occasion to remove it yet to see if it's all it claims to be. I think some other members are using it also - any of you removed 3M from Montana surfaces yet?

Sunshine, the 3m adhesive system is great I am sure ,but read their own instructions and they say not to use on wallpaper or surfaces that can rip off. This is the type of product that 10 people can use on a surface with success and remove it with no damage. Along comes the 11th guy and when he removes it , he rips a large finished section off his wall. Read the instructions in your RV manual and they tell you to use pins rather than adhesives. I love my Montana and I will never do anything to it that would damage it. Every mod I have made is a cosmetic as well as a practical improvement. Two small holes behind a clock in a spot that will always have a clock on it are a no risk installation. If I use an adhesive and in removing it I tear down into an area that the next clock will not cover, that is a screw up I won't gamble with.

Our clock that came with the unit is very nice and is above the front door. I have 4 "things" hanging on the walls in our Monty using the 3M. A Jesus plaque by the front door, a cross by the fridge, a picture of the native american ten commandments in the hallway up to the bathrooom, and an awesome dreamcatcher on the bedroom wall that you can see in the mirrored closet doors from the living room & kitchen. When we go somewhere, the picture & dreamcatcher ride on the bed and the plaque and cross ride in a dining room chair. They are all lightweight and don't think I'll ever remove the 3M things. Even if we ever traded in (for another Monty of course) these are places that the next person could and would probably want to hang something there anyway.

Nice clocks guys. We have a small Oregon Scientific clock above our desk and it shines a red light up to the ceiling if we need the time of day, but we use it mostly for outside temp and humidity.
I used to work for Lowes and have seen many demo's of the 3M "removable tape, and it works really good. Most anything with a "shiny" surface works well, the shiny surface acts as a kind of primer and will release easier than a flat finish wall.
When they talk about wallpaper, I think they mean actual wallpaper, not vinyl wall covering. The wall covering we have in our rigs is a solid vinyl wall covering and is pretty tough stuff, I'm sure, it will not come off if you use the "removable" type of adhesive. Actual Wallpaper which is usually "silk screened" is rarely used anymore except with real high end interior decorators.

Sounds like we have similar taste. I replaced the bathroom mirror with an array of R. C. Gorman prints. For those who do not know Gorman painted American Indian women. I also have a print in there that says "May the spirits watch over you for they know the paths you ride and will guide you" There are faces in the clouds.
I have used velcro in all of our units and have not had any trouble removing. A little heat helps.
Happy trails...............................
