Dexter shackles

I had shackles installed recently. Due to comments posted in this forum, I check them when I got home. I saw several that seemed to have grease on the front side (by the zerk), but none on the back side. So I took it back and they checked them. Four of them were not drilled all the way thru!!!!!
So thanks to everyone that commented on problems they had. As I am going to Alaska this summer (over 10,000 miles), it might have been a problem for me too.

Yup, I have posted this many times! Bolts are from China and many are NOT drilled all the way through, so no matter what you do, you will never get any grease through them. Always check them before installing!!!!

Send a message via Yahoo to NCFischers
Before I installed the bolts, I put grease in them to make sure they were drilled out all the way.

Actually, my wet bolt kit that came from Dexter was manufactured in India. China is becoming too expensive!!
