Either should work whatever is more convenient for you.

My regulator is after the filter because that is where the pressure matters.

good idea!

Thetford aqua flood toilet is prone to high and low water pressure issues and leaking. The system can safely handle 80 P.S.I and the pex even higher but the cheap faucets is another issue. We keep ours at 70 P.S.I after replacing the Thetford with a Dometic 320 toilet and after market faucets in all but the shower as there not as prone to fail as the OEM equipment.

The specs I found for the disposable blue Camco filters is a max of 60 psi. I put my regulator at the hose faucet with the filter next and then the hose. That way, both the filter and the hose are protected from excess pressure. Those cheap little hoses that come with these filters can not handle much pressure and have had a number of them blow apart.
