I put the elect. cord in the back of the truck along with the wood blocks. Mostly because it’s the last thing disconnected and the first reconnected when moving from site to site. One tub for sewer connection, another for all fresh water. Don’t mix the two! Other tubs for other items. This will vary widely due to your interest, ie. golf clubs vs my metal detectors. Maybe wife’s sewing machine? Lots of options. Chairs, required! You’ll figure it out over time as mentioned before. Good glamping!

Forgot to mention, my storage compartment has a very nice fuzzy covering. I don’t know if they still do that, but if they do double sided Velcro works great for catv cords. Loop in 3 places and just stick them to the wall.

prndl-- You definitely need more STUFF when you go out with that unit! There is just to much open space and if you can see the floor of the basement there is something wrong! LOL Good job, I wish our unit looked like yours but we have a whole lot more STUFF in ours!

Working our way from the front to the back. Trying to build in some custom organization as I go. Still thinking for the main storage, maybe some slide outs, a couple of ceiling hung bins as it seems like a lot of wasted space above the access doors.

One of these for the regular power cord and long hose sure saves space. Also makes them easy to clean as they roll in. Especially nice on the power cord on cold days tearing down.

Like many others I use the Rubbermaid bins....sewer/electrical/tools. I used to take my 50 AMP 'Titanic' electrical cord with me but had one heck of a problem trying to contain that snake in the bin...especially when it was cold. Now it stays at home and I take a 30 amp cord. With only 1 air conditioner that's enough power. On the sewer bin I've drilled a few 1 inch holes (5 or 6) around the top edge to allow the hoses/contents to dry out......it helps.

I have a pair of SUPER heavy duty full extension drawer slides. They're 60" long and rated for 500 lbs. I bought for a cabinet job and never used if someone wanted to build a tray they'd work great.

Care to share where you bought this. This seems to be an uncomplicated one.

Purchased at eTrailer.com. For easy removal I drill mounting holes and put #6x32 bolts facing up through a piece of plywood and then screw it to the floor. The reel is held to the plywood with wing nuts. I have end caps for the water hose so no drops.

Talking ken H

Looking at water filter options, have been using the Camco beauties from Wallyworld, considering the duel filters listed in Trailer Life mag, at $275. Any suggestions.

I use coke type flat containers that stack and milk crate containers that stack as well. Recliners and camping chairs on bottom next to grill and propane tank. Fishing gear and golf clubs on inside. 6’ fiberglass table in front. 2 burner stove door side bottom. Ice maker in front of stove. Sewer hose and connections fit in a small zippered duffel bag on top of chairs. Hose and power cord on top of chairs. I also use a laundry hamper/basket for the miscellaneous stuff inside the door side.
No room for anything else in basement.
Front compartment has tools, spare parts, battery charger, etc.
When we are away from home 4-6 months, the air compressor takes the place of the 2 burner outdoor stove.

Good luck. You will need to pack the way it works best for you!

Mikendebbie,

Most folks won't understand my question but I have to ask it anyway. How many Aggies does it take to organize a basement?

It depends on how many Longhorns are helping them.

Ddubya, is there a strap or something keeping your folding ladder on those hangars? I need to do something with mine to get it up out of the way.

Just a word of caution. Everything that goes into the basement adds to the pin box weight. Sometimes a good idea to carry some heavier items inside behind the axles.
