Montana 3450 RL TV
Does anyone know how to remove the TV from the frame in the living room?
I see no levers or access to the rear of the set. There is a large silver button on the front, bottom of the TV but pushing it does not seem to release the TV to gain access to the rear.

I removed my tv. My floorplan is similar to the 3440RL (couldn't find the 3450). I think I had to swivel the tv when pulled out and use a screwdriver to remove the base. Kind of a long stretch tho.
Good luck.

My problem is I can't get it out of the frame by pulling or trying to swivel it. It moves only slightly left to right but only about 1/8" left to right. I don't see any instructions in the manual either.

Not familiar with the floor plan, but some have had to get access to the area under the TV to remove screws that went up thru the shelf into the bottom of the TV.

You wrote you have a 3450 model. They were only manufactured in 1999 & 2000. In another post you wrote your unit is a 2007. In either case those years would have come with the old boob tube style TV. Do you have a picture of the TV and it's location so we can see what you are dealing with?

I am sure it is a 3450RL and mfg date is 2007. The tv in the bedroom is the old style but it is a HD flat screen in the living room. I will send pictures tomorrow. There is an electric fireplace beneath it and unless the unit dies, I don't am not willing to remove the fireplace. The old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is my motto.

Dune Buggy Builder, looks like I owe you an apology. The fiver is a Model 3400 RL, not a 3450. The model number was written on the pin box in chalk at the dealer's lot and one digit looked like a five. After your last post I went out and looked at the manufacture's label and to my chagrin it was plainly 3400. It is however a 2007 build. I took a picture of the TV. How do I up load it to this forum?

As Yogi said “It’s deja vu all over again”. I posted the following in another topic and it seemed to work for them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Start here:
http://montanaowners.weebly.com/adding-photos.html
Then if you need more explanation, try this (Note: it is written to help adding a picture to your Profile, but the process is the same when adding to a posting):
http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=40564
-------------------------------------------------------------
P.S. Does your older 3400 have a door which access the back of the TV? I don't remember when they started adding that feature.
Secondly, removal of the fireplace (which you likely will wind up doing) is very easy. There are only four screws holding it in and it slides out. You probably need to clean it anyway so this is a good time to take it out.

TV does not have back door access. Thanks for the tips on uploading pictures but unfortunately my five year old grandson is not here to help me. My computer skills are right up there with rocket science. I can send and receive e mails, file items and it stops about there. All I can say is there is a large silver button about the size of a silver dollar in the wooden frame below the screen. It pushes in but nothing happens. From the small scratches on the wood it looks like it may be used to swivel the screen (if it worked). Problem is not a big deal. The screen is easily viewed from any seat in the living room and if I ever need to get behind it I will take your advice and remove the screws on the fireplace and take a look. Thanks for the help. But as to adding a picture, this old dog is not learning any new tricks.

Never heard anyone mention a button like that. You might have someone push that button while you pull on the TV.
My 2007 3075RL and friend's 2008 3295RK had TVs mounted on metal "sleds" screwed to the bottom of the TV and slid into a metal plate screwed to the cabinet bottom. When pushed all the way in the "sled" latched to the plate. We both had access to the rear to reach in and release the latch. Maybe your push button does that.
Don't ever remember anyone else ever mentioning a mount like mine and my friend's either.

Here is a picture of the TV as installed in Neverhome's Montana. Obviously a retrofit as that year and model came with the old boob tube style TV. I think I can see the handle for the VHS Tape Drawer (I think that was its purpose - I didn't have one) on the left. Perhaps if you remove the drawer you will gain access to the cabinet behind the TV?? Additionally Neverhome says the silver button at the bottom turns the TV on/off.

Looks like the same TV that I originally had. And that thing is heavy. With no access to the rear, mostly there are screws up thru the bottom and the fireplace will have to come out.

I have a 2008 and that is the TV I had. I think it was Viewsonic. Mine is in the cab. over the fireplace but the whole tray it sits on slides out and the tv was bolted from the back. Pull the drawer out on the side(over the desk) and look in behind the tv to see if it is mounted on anything.

Thanks to all for your replies. Could not get the drawer behind the TV out but with as much as I was able to see, it is not on a slide. I was concerned as to how I was going to hook up the satellite connection at the campground but found the cabinet above the TV has all of the connections in easy reach.
