Kenda Karrier ST235/85R16 Tire - Load F
Saw this tire on the net with 12 ply and heavy duty for trailers. Anyone have/had these? Can hardly find a thing about them.

My first question is where are they made- If they are made in USA or Canada, further investigation would be in order- I buy American unless there is no choice! JHMO- Don

The second question is where do you go if you have a problem with them?

I wish tire companies wouldn't post Load Range "F". One tire's Load Range E or F is not the same as another tire's Load Range with the same letter. There is a 3 digit number used for this that is much more accurate since each 3 digit number specifies a consistent range no matter who makes the tire.
Anyone know what the numerical range on these Kenda's would be for their F or E Load Range tires?
Another curiosity would be the 12 ply rating. This would be under the tread, whereby my trailer tire problem history has been either the sidewall splitting open apart or the tread coming off. What good is the strength of more plies if it's the other parts that are having the problem?
Like most everyone, it would be nice to know where they are manufactured and a little bit of history. Maybe I'll call and try to find out.

I called etrailer.com and the sales person provided as much information as she could. They get all their tires from a tire manufacturer in Indiana. Unfortunately, not all tires are produced at that plant so they can come from somewhere else.
I zoomed in on the pictures on their website and the DOT code for the pictured tire looked like "BY" is where the tire was manufactured and BY means Littleton, Colorado according to a 2009 listing I used for manufacturer codes.
As I looked more on the tire's picture it appeared there was 3 digit date code which means before the year 2000. After 2000 there is now a 4 digit date code. I think this is an old picture. No one should be using a tire by now with a 3 digit manufacturing code because it's over 11 years old!
The conclusion is that I still couldn't find out where they were made nowadays. etrailer.com only had one of the Load Range F tires in stock and the sales person could not check the sidewall to provide the DOT code unless I was interested in buying it. Since I have no interest in one tire, I didn't request it.
I also did find and read the weight they supported: ST235/85R16: LR F = 3960 @ 110psi, LR E = 3640 @ 95psi and ST235/80R16" LR E = 3197 @ 90PSI

Thanks for the info Art....I think at this time I'd better let it be...an unproven tire is not worth it to me and family.
