RV Door Lock Keyless Entry

During the stay at home I added a new Keyless Entry to my Montana 380. Following the instructions I activated the Fob and checked that it locked and unlocked the door. The next step I Changed the preset factory default entry code and updated to my personal code. Once I had my code working, my Fob stopped working. I attempted to reactivate the Fob but after several attempts it still would not work.
Any suggestions?

Did you relearn the fob after you changed the code to your personal code?

Yes. I tried to relearn the fob, I tried hold button in for ten seconds and relearning, I let it rest and went back an retried, retried and retried... the FOB lights up but nothing
