Finally Done It

After nearly two years of owning our 3160RL I bought my wife a Splendide Combo washer/dryer. Reorganize the shelving, added two led motion sensor lights and it’s all golden with her now. No more laundry mats, especially now days with this nasty virus. Money well spent, saves a ton of time for her.

Nice setup. We have the same unit with the washer dryer prep. Did yours come with the door? Did yours come with the hamper next to the dresser?

I installed a combo Splendide washer /dryer on our powerboat we live on for 3 years and had one in our home living overseas for 6 tears. But after owning fifth wheel trailers since 2004 we purchased our new Montana 3780RL with separate washer and vented dryer. We really love it and it is very quite and convenient. The first day we picked it up from the dealer we got drenched from a rain storm and very happy we could put our soaking wet clothes in the dryer after setting up camp.

We bought the vented model, it makes it easy...just throw a load in per day and it’s done.

Now I'm wondering if ours should have a door like yours.

Mine didn't come with a louvered door. It has a louver in the wall that goes into the closet. A small one.

I laugh at that small louver so we always leave the door open when using the washer/dryer.

We bought ours 2 years ago, the vented model. Found it like most everything I buy here lately on marketplace. Man bought a new camper and washer/dryer. He put it in the garage and it sat there for two years in the box. I bought it for 1/2 price. Wife is happy. It is running right now. I loved the price. Marketplace is the place to go for what ever you need. Never pay asking price. Ok, I’ll be quiet now.

You'll see a lot of people complaining about these washers wrinkling the clothes. Makes me think they never read the manual. Small loads, don't over dry and take the clothes out right away. We really like ours.

washer dryer

I'll say good choice. My DW and I bought one last summer and installed it in our Jayco 5th, hardest part of the install was just getting it from the truck into the closet in the trailer. Used it right up until we winterized the rig without any issues. We traded the Jayco on a 2020 3760FL and removed the washer/dryer so now in the process of installing it in the new rig. Definitely pleased with both purchases!

We have had the combo vented unit in two Montana's since 2006.We are long timers and it gets plenty of use. We have not had a single problem. You do need to read the manual and learn how to use the unit.
