Intergrated brake controller

Purchased 2010 Dodge ram 3500 last week. Pulled 2010 model 3150 for the first time yesterday. I am getting a momentary trailer disconnected warning occasionally while driving. Most of the time you only get one chime but a couple of times got two chimes. Warning light never stays on for more than a couple of seconds. I replaced 7 pin plug on fifth wheel last night. Haven't towed trailer since doing this. Could anything other that a bad connection at plug cause this momentary disconnect signal? Leaving on an extended trip in less than 24 hours. Any ideas? Thanks-- Might add while sitting still I have wiggled every wire that I can touch on truck and camper but cannot duplicate malfunction. Only when I disconnect plug does the chime and light occur.
