Just Looked at and Driven 2011 Chevy

Well it was a beautiful truck. I drove a 2500HD D/A, just loaded with switches and backup cameras and stuff I still don't understand. I noticed that the truck is much higher than my 2004 Chevy. The salesman measured the two trucks, the 2011 is 4 inches higher. Right now I tow VERY level, this makes me very happy. But I wonder what happens when the Pullrite is bolted down to the new bed, will I be nose high? If I was, then you would move the pin box to lower bolt settings to attempt a level tow. I honestly think that is where I am right now.

The 2011 is amazing with all the new improvements, much larger tires, beefy suspension, exhaust brake, integrated brake controller, the list goes on, oh yes a 36 gallon fuel tank.

Does anyone have a 2011 pulling a Monty? If so how level did you get it to tow?

Haven't looked at the 2011 models, but the bed is about 2.5" deeper on our 09 than the 04 was. That being said, I think I'm a little nose high when hitched now. Not enough to worry with tho.

As you can see in the photo below, our truck and trailer are almost level. Yes, the truck is higher unloaded than our previous 2007 Chevy but it settles down about 3 1/2"-4" with the trailer attached.
Oh ya...you're going to love the power that truck has and the ride is amazing

Don,

Does your new truck have the 18" wheels?

We just bought a 2011 Chevy 3500 HD. It is our first pickup truck so we really can't compare it to anything else. However, we can say that it has tons of power and runs quietly. There is no diesel smell either. It is higher than we had expected. When the 3400 is hooked up, it is level. We have a Trailer Saver hitch. I don't know if this helps as we aren't experts but those are our observations. We will be at the fall rally if you want to check it out yourself.
