Propane Regulator stopped working

Last night as Kathy was starting dinner our propane regulator stopped working. One tank is completely full and the other is half full. No matter which way I turn the valve on the regulator the red flag is still in the window.

Yes, we are still under warranty but, does anyone has a suggestion of something to try to fix this problem. Otherwise I will have to try and find a Keystone dealer in the wilderness of Massachusetts.

Grant,
That has happened to me and what I did was to turn the tank on slowly and this fixed it. You may have tried this already. When the tank is turned on full quickly it seems to lock things up.

There are a number of posts on this subject. A Marshall C6121 will cure the problems with a weak curb side regulator.

Thursday when this problem started the propane regulator showed red regardless of which tank I had it pointing to. I removed both tanks from the regulator to make sure that the tanks valve were working.

Friday morning I tried again and had gas flow for a short period of time. Friday we also moved to our current location.

Saturday, I thought I would try again to see if I can make any sense of the problem. This time I had gas flow from either tank. Since that time I can't duplicate the problem. We have used the propane to cook, and to run both the water heater and the furnace.

I am more baffled than ever.

I'm having the same issue with mine on our new 3455SA. it works, then it doesn't . I've turned it off , waited and slowly turned back on , sometimes it works , or not.

I'll start looking for the regulator mentioned. Not sure where to find one. If anyone knows , please advise.

The original Marshal regulators on our 3400RL went South due to oil in the crossover pipe. However, if you have any kind of leak anywhere in the system the regulators will do some really goofy things due to the OPD safety devices and hoses. Might want to do the soapy water trick to see if you have any leanks anywhere.

I'm not sure but I thought there were some threads about faulty tank pigtails not letting gas flow from the tank to the regulator. The solution was to replace the pigtails. Just a thought.

Most of the time its the regulator I have replaced mine 2 times. I think they will get moisture from the gas in them and stop working. just thinking that I would try that first since they are only about 30$.
