Weather Seal Problem

Looks like a weather seal under the dining slider on my 2955RL is loose and needs to be reattached. What is the best "glue" or what to make this a permanent fix?

Thanks!

Bob,

I have an 06 3400 that I took delivery on last Nov. Since then all the weather rubber strips that run along the bottom side of the back 3 slides have started coming off.

I have used the double sided white foam tape (approx. 1/16" thick and 3/4" wide) to remount them. Thus far they seem to be holding - certainly better than what was on the trailer originally.

Nope. The more miles, the more potential problems.

3M also makes a water proof grey rubber double sided tape. I used it to reattach the plastic drip guard on the shower door. Stuck so well I could not pull it off.

Our rubber seals were loose & hanging down when we took delivery in Jan. Of course the dealer fixed them. While driving down the highway well into our cross country trip from Calif. I saw one previously fixed flailing in the wind and almost dragging under the tire where it would have been ripped off. A bit of contact cement put it up and so far it is holding. Why is it that we can fix things to last better than trained RV technicians? Mike

I see a couple of ours on our 2006 2980 are starting to come loose.
Will have to glue on before the next trip.
