Slide Leak

Our 2004 3380RL has developed a bad leak on the kitchen/entertainment slide.(the long slide on the road side which extends over the wheel well). Seems to be getting wet when we are travelling in the rain -- carpet on raised portion of slide is soaked mainly in the centre area under the fridge. Has anyone else had this problem? Wondering if somehow the water is coming up from spray off the wheels and getting inside????? Any ideas. Les

Les,
Do a search on this topic. There were some 3400RL members that were having the same problem with their kitchen slide.

Try using the Archvies, go to front page of MOC, look on far right for the Yellow boxes. Click on those.

Open up search time frame for longer than 30 days. Go for the most.

This was chatted about, but it was quite a while ago.

You might also try contacting MIMF (MIMF2), here on the forum, he works for Lippert. Altho, slide seals and frame are different, he might have some ideas.

Cheers, Carol

When you do your search be sure to change the search directions to "entire message". The default is "subject" and that makes it hard to pinpoint the topic you're looking for.

On a more personal note, we have a 3380 and have had our carpet get quite wet during heavy rain storms. It does come up off the road somehow. It doesn't happen enough for it to be a concern for us at this time.

We had this problem with our Kitchen slide, our Dealer said there was a missing gasket and replaced it. This was 18 months ago, we think this has repaired it but we have had very little rain since then when travelling. Diana

Hi Les and Julie,

We had the same problem on our 3295RK a couple years back. It turned out the lower seal that is attached to the coach (not the slide) had fallen off. New seal solved the problem for us.
