Cottonwood

Prescott

Prescott has a rich history as a frontier gold and silver mining town. Mining and settlers brought frequent conflict with native American tribes in the area, including the Yavapai and Apache. Prescott was the home to Fort Whipple from its inception, which acted as a base for campaigns against natives.

Oak Creek Canyon scenic drive

The route to Sedona is 89A. Continuing past Sedona on 89A and you will travel through Oak Creek Canyon. Once you reach I-17, return via Oak Creek Canyon or via I-17.

Lots of hiking and biking trails at Dead Horse Ranch Stare Park. The easy trails around the lagoons are pet friendly.

Whatever you do, do not take 89A from Prescott Valley to Jerome towing a trailer.
