Wine Tasting in Camp Verde
With the combination of the perfect soil and the ability to irrigate, the Verde Valley has become a popular wine region in Arizona. In Camp Verde, we are proud to have three family owned and operated vineyards only a short distance from downtown, Alcantara Vineyards and Winery, Clear Creek Vineyard and Salt Mine Wine.

Verde Valley Wine Trail - The Verde Valley Wine Trail of 10 wineries offer a variety of skillfully crafted wines to satisfy any wine taster’s palate. Every winery has its own unique personality and distinct wines for visitors to discover at each stop along the Wine Trail. https://vvwinetrail.com/

Cottonwood
Founded in 1879, Cottonwood was given the distinction of being called the ”Biggest Little Town in Arizona.” The town derives its name from a stand of large cottonwood trees growing along the Verde River. Originally, Cottonwood was an army outpost, but soon a farming community of newly arrived settlers began to develop.

Uptown Sedona is dense with New Age shops, spas and art galleries. On the town’s outskirts, numerous trailheads access Red Rock State Park, which offers bird-watching, hiking and picnicking spots

Oak Creek Canyon scenic drive

The route to Sedona is 89A. Continuing past Sedona on 89A and you will travel through Oak Creek Canyon. Once you reach I-17, return via Oak Creek Canyon or via I-17.

Probably too far for a day trip, but for those arriving or departing to the east on I-40.

Meteor Crater

Just a big hole in the ground; more impressive from the air.

Lots of hiking and biking trails at Dead Horse Ranch Stare Park. The easy trails around the lagoons are pet friendly.

Driving to the Riley

Driving to the Rally

Whatever you do, do not take 89A from Prescott Valley to Jerome towing a trailer.
