Propane regulator noise

When the furnace or stove is running, i hear it make a noise, (whine, whistle). Is it time to replace the regulator?

Are the valves open all the way?
Have you switched over to the other tank?

And I cannot pass this one up.

Can you name the tune?

Valves are open and i hear it when one tank goes empty and then i switch the control valve over. It is in the key of C minor. LOL

Yes ours did the same thing on our 06 3400 and never found out why.It has not happened on this 13 3402.

Just now on our maiden voyage with our new Monty and have the same whistling sound. It's right under the bedroom which is unfortunate. Apparently no solution?

My street side tank regulator makes that noise whenever propane is being used. Changing the regulator made no difference. The only good thing is that when it quits making the noise I know that I have an empty tank to refill.

I only got the noise when I use the tank with the stepdown regulator. It's the side opposite where the main gas line runs down the frame. My only guess is it's getting feedback from the main regulator and the diaphragm in the stepdown regulator is fluttering at a high frequency to constantly regulate the pressure downstream. I only noticed it on the last trip. I may try to fill both tanks and start with the tank with the stepdown regulator and see if the noise persists. When it made the noise, the tank on the side with the changeover valve regulator was completely empty.

Ours occasionally whistles, but it doesn't seem to affect anything and propane still flows properly. I've had propane grills do the same thing and again they still work fine, too.

My off-side regulator does the same thing. The presence or absence of the sound allows me to know when it is time to fill a tank. When it starts, the main side tank is empty. When it stops, the off-side tank is empty.
