I'm so disgusted

Many on here know of the problems I have had with our 2015 Montana. LOTS... We worked 8 hours to fix the slide out.. Today it broke again.. I have had the black water tank repaired and it still leaks. Aside from the tires wearing in 2000 miles, the rear axle bolt breaking or coming off, this has been ONE BIG NIGHTMARE... Today while trying to get the black water tank up on the rails I smashed my fingers on both hands,, I cut my arm and it's bleeding. The other day a wrench fell on my cheek giving me a black eye, the same day a large wrench fell on my head giving me a large bleed... Im so sorry, but Im about to bring this back to wherever and take a big hit on my credit... I just dont care anymore... This Rv has been the biggest mistake we have ever made.. One big heartache after another... I will contact the lender and tell them do not make new loans on these... I feel like shooting myself in the head... ONE BIG MISTAKE... 72000 and nothing but trouble..... anyway..Im venting...

I have been there done that. My previous sob was a piece of junk. I think i spent more time working on it than enjoying it. Every time i took it out i would come back with a list of things to work on that were not improvements. When people say they are going to get out and enjoy life in these rv's i am thinking you don't have a clue. Most people don't realize what they are getting into when they buy one of these as there 1st rv. This one now has been very good but i have done a lot of improvements which i am sure prevented me some headaches down the road but at great cost. When the rv gives you more headache and stress than enjoyment then it's time to get rid of it and move on. I didn't give up after the previous one and so for so good. Good luck it what ever direction you choose to go.

sorry but these are not unusual issue on older trailers.

I had more bolts and axle problems than you ever have had, this is what RVing is all about.

sorry about your head and fingers. as for the leak, get it back to the service provider, sometimes it just takes several trips.

Relax and enjoy the ownership of an RV.

Our 2015 turned out to be poorly built with major problems ex frig was installed with packing material not removed with resultant failure. Because we had three previous Montana units and several SOBs before that, I had the ability to work thru a lot of crap and fixed myself or paid for necessary work. Keystone not much help. Having said that, no issues of note past three years including six month snowbirding in Florida each year. BUT, I KNOW how you feel!!

Venting is OK. Take a break then go back and show that trailer who's the boss. I would help but we live too far away. At least for a couple months, currently house hunting in Carson City. These breakdowns are like speed bumps in life. Some are bigger than others.

Although we have had problems with both our Montana's and all of the previous 4 brands they are nothing like yours. We just had to replace two hydraulic jacks both of which leaked and failed fortunately we have the Cornerstone ESP that covered it. We did have trouble with our slides on our 2006 3400 and had them adjusted at the fall rally by a Lippert tech. We did have the kitchen slide fail on this 2013 3402 one of the gears just came apart. It was also covered by the ESP.

We can no longer do anything but the most simple repairs so we are happy that we have the ESP. We are long timers and do a lot of travel and living in these things so we use them hard.

I think I would be at the breaking point with the problems you are experiencing and the RV would be history.

We are among the more fortunate in that Keystone has always been good to us when we needed them.

Sorry about all your problems and injuries. I take it, it's all out of warranty, which sucks. I would try and get everything working, pay somebody to do it, and get rid of it. If you've had it for 5 years, the loan should be paid down pretty substantially, and maybe the hit won't be as bad as you think. I would not have it repo'd, or default on the loan......that is an entirely different nightmare, which can take many years to get out of with a destroyed credit rating. As with anything when you're pissed, walk away from it, vent like you have, cool down, and think things through.

Sorry to read about this.

We had our share of fixes too. Frankly I would put the darn thing back together and trade it for something else. Keep the new purchase price low to try to recover from the hit you may take.
JMO

Again, so sorry----

As others have said fix it before you sell it. That is the best way to minimize your losses. On a brighter note, once you sell yours you should, with some careful shopping, be able to replace it with something similar for the same money. There are lots of nice hardly used units out there.
By the way, I think you are doing the right thing by being very vocal in your displeasure. Montana needs to open their ears and implement better quality control. It’s not that hard!

Yes it has, but if we quit saying it they will never change their attitude.

All oF you are GREAT ... thanks for letting me vent,,,, I will pay to get it fixed and then try to sell it even if it means money out of my pocket.. I envy all of you who have had minimal issues.. Mine may have been made on a Monday or Friday... My finger nails are now black from the blood when I smashed my fingers. My head and eye are healing nicely. The bruises on my arms and legs are another issue.. Thank God for your support.. Susan and Carl too... I am the ORIGINAL Tim the tool man.... ER, here I come.... but Im saving money..

You had 3 problems. An alignment problem that wore out your tires that has been fixed. A problem with a slide and a tank that wasn’t properly fixed. When they are fixed properly you shouldn’t have any more trouble with them.
After I fixed all the problems I will be darn if I would get rid of the camper and get another that could be as bad or worse but it’s not my money.

A 2015 a8nt really very old... and I’d take it over any new 2020 or 2021 model... especially if it didn’t have In Command and tankless water heater

Once you get all the bugs worked out these are not bad RV's and all of them have bugs. It took us about 2 years to get the bugs out of the 06 3400 and then it ran till 2013 practically problem free. We have had much better luck with this 13 3402 two broken jacks and a broken kitchen slide have been our major failures over 7 years of hard use.Thank goodness for the Cornerstone ESP. The two hydraulic jacks , shipping and labor was 1547.00 alone of which 100.00 deductible was on me. the broken kitchen slide parts and labor was 850.00 again 100.00 deductible was on me. Those two repair bills was more than we paid for the ESP plan and it is still good for another 2 1/2 years.
