Looking for a part number

We own a 2016 3160RL Legacy and are vacationing for Thanksgiving on the Central Cal Coast. When we opened our lleft rear slide on the left side of the rig, I noticed that the plastic electrical wires support panel under the slide had broken. I checked out Trekwood and could not locate this part and a part number. Does any one know what this part is called and it’s part number?

You can also use two small metal hinges and joint the two broken ends together with the hinges.. use small machine screws, washers and nuts to hold the hinges to both edges of the plastic support strip

I recall there was a thread about this same issue when I first joined the forum 2018-19 and Rorhman (Bob Rorhman) posted a photo of how he fixed his situation using hinges as mentioned by ChuckS. No idea how to find that thread or the pic.

A standard door type hinge is the answer. The plastic breaking is a common problem. In a hurry? Drill a couple of holes and zip tie the two ends together for a quick, temporary fix.

That replacement plastic part is hard to find and a PIA to replace. The hinge is a
much better answer.

The hinge idea sounds good. Another might be to use some reinforced rubber matting (like a piece cut from a heavy duty mud flap) and mend it using flat metal stock and machine screws and nuts. I carry a mud flap and have used pieces of it to mend, fabricate and just repair quite a few things.

I have used a hinge and it has lasted at least 5 years or maybe as many as 8. Still going good.

The door hinge is a $2, 20 minute fix. Mine was on for 12 years and still serving its purpose when I sold the rig. Simple, proven, solution!

They are Flex Gard’s by lippert. Available in single, double and triple. Many places to purchase them from. About 15 years ago on a sob ours broke near the frame where is was secured. I used a hinge and it worked well. Allowed to pivot and not break.

X2 on the hinge. Get a 4” hinge, they fit perfect. And a lot cheaper!

Thanks everyone for your responses. I ordered a new double brace from e-Trailer. Part was $36. I’m planning to reinforce it with a 4” hinge where the brace bends to prevent this from happening again in the future.
