BAL Deluxe Tire Locking Chock

Has anyone had their Bal deluxe chock strip the teeth that keep the two sides equal? I have one that has the teeth broken off and when I use them, this one always goes on crocked. I have to use a small pry bar to be able to get the wrench on to remove the chock.

Other that this problem they work really good for me.

Never had that problem with either of ours in the 7 or 8 years we've had them. I did have a problem with the teeth on one of the wrenches but not the chocks themselves. I suppose yours are out of warranty?

That is one of the reasons we changed to Roto-Choks in 2003. Also, we found that the metal against rubber did not hold as well as the Roto-Choks did.

I'm with orv, we love ours.
Can you get repairs done on them?
Looks like they have a new model, the X-Chock.

I have sent them a letter detailing the problem asking them if they will replace the one bad one. I mentioned I was a member of this forum. I will let you know if they respond.

Ozz,

I know you can get repairs done at some RV rallies where they have someone selling them. Other than that I'm not sure. We've had ours almost 8 years and they show no signs of quitting, yet.
