I have a 2004 Montana Big Sky that came with aluminum wheels.
Big problem, two of the four wheels have developed cracks.
You can't see them unless they're under water.
Luckily we were in camp sites when the tires went flat.
STEEL is better.

Hi Chub,
Just wanted to let you know that our 3295rk came with the aluminum wheels. We have a 2002 model and we've NEVER had any trouble with the aluminum wheels. They look great and they have worked well. I've seen the steel and I'd only have the aluminum on my rig. Can't see where one can say one type is better or worse than another type. That is a HUGE generalization. Get what you want and you'll be a lot happier.

By the way I thought I remembered then saying at the Rally factory tour that they were ONLY going to install aluminum wheels from now on. But my memory is shot so I could be wrong.

We had alum wheels on our 2002 Cedar Creek. First time out we had one crack. The dealer had a man. rep. look at it and he said it was the first one he had seen crack like that. We had no further problems with the wheels. I met the man that bought it after we traded it in on our Monty and he has had no problems. We did stay with steel wheels on our Monty and have had no problem with them.
