Good timing, Ozz. Our church is having a chili cook-off next sunday. I am trying to get a donation from some hunting buddies of a pound of venison, will add a pound of ground chuck, a pound of hot sausage, three type of beans and three types of peppers to the old faithful carrol shelby chili kit. Will call it 9X chili. What do you think? Creative enough from a culinary viewpoint. By the time it is over, I may be the one talking to the food!! Enjoy your creation!

Ozz, where oh where is your can of green chilies? Missouri made chili ain't chili without a small can of green chilies. Save me some as I've got to come home for some business in about 3 weeks. Chili freezes great.

Is that Squeeze Garlic I see in the picture on the left? Really, squeeze garlic? You learn something new every day and today it was something called squeeze garlic.

Alwims, we can make more! I have some chili's in the frig, saving them for fresh salsa. How is it up there in the high country? Have you got caught speeding by those cameras near you on the highway?
Art, I will never make it on those cooking shows as a Chef, the Garlic in a bottle works for me.
I'm Like Cousin Eddy, when he said: "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"

Funny you should mention those dang cameras. My wife thinks we will be getting one in the mail before long. I keep checking our Good Sam Florida mail box, but so far so good.

But Ozz, that's a SQUEEZE bottle. I have seen and used the big glass bottles and I have to spoon it out, but I've never even seen a plastic squeeze bottle before.

I am ready for some chili, but the weather just doesn't seem to want to play along.
I would have to have some homemade cornbread made with oil and not shortening.
Jim, Jim, Jim.... you have the wrong kind of beans

And this comes from a gal in Texas that swears by 'The salt lick' food, where the BBQ beans have no meat in them...
I would like to try your cornbread sometime. (and your Chili..)
You are a great cook, I still remember the great meal you and your hubby cooked for Sue and I, good stuff!!

Do they have a chili shootout at the Q? If so I can hear the day after, probably sounds like a whoopy cushion for the whole day! HAHAHA Is there any echos at Q? Is a gas mask required equipment for camping there? LMAO

Don't need no gas, we all have Diesel.. for the most part.
Cooking tip: Using a pressure cooker, place cleaned dried beans in it cover with water to the level of twice the bean level, bring to pressure, then quick-cool, pour off the water (That will de-gas the beans by about 80%).
Then bring up to pressure and cook for 15 minutes or so, and beans are cooked.
No soaking overnight, put in diced Spam or ham and you have quick delish cooked beans.
