Great work Tom, I am just wondering WHERE are you putting all these birds??? I have been counting and you must have the basement pretty close to full....
Oh, I picked up my Harbor Freight grinder the other day, as you suggested. Looking forward to your next project.

Tom,
You have great talent!! Wood carving is a lost art IMHO. I had an uncle that loved doing wood carving and wood working. He actually worked on Hoover dam and told me stories about the building of it. It brings back fond memories when I see someone in the wood carving art. I have a stand that he made for the old pocket watches, it hangs my grandfathers watch that he used on the railroad.
Keep up the great work and share it with others if they have an interest.

John, I have a trunk that I bought at Lowes that I keep my carvings in, but Serveral are sold at the different campgrounds we stay in. You would be surprised, I will be outside carving, with a few finished carvings sitting on the picnic table, people will walk by and just start talking about carving and then wanting to purchase! I remember not long ago the eastern bluebird I had just finished was sitting out. This fellow pulled in across from me in A new Bluebird coach. He seen me working, walked over and seen the bluebird carving, said "Hey I gotta have that for my Bluebird coach!! sure enough, hes somewhere traveling around with a bluebird carving on his dash! John, just e-mail me anytime will be glad to give you any assistance that I can about carving (I am still learning) thanks to all for the nice compliments! Also John, hope you get a "break" in the weather out there!
