USB upgrades

My 2020 3813 is wonderful but not equipped with USB ports like some that I have seen. So today I changed out 4 ac outlets to ac plus usb 3.6 volt outlets and it was a great success. Anyone contemplating this it was very easy, go for it.

Did the same in the bedroom, each side of the bed. Also added a usb powered hub in the center console of the theater seats.

I did the bed sides too and one on the front counter and one at the table. My theater seats came with them. I have some mods and maintenance to do this winter and this was first... such a pain to have everything tied up with those little power adapters.

At last we are finally getting some benefits from all those crashed Alien Spaceships.

Many of the new phones and tablets have a quick charge circuit and ability that will not work without using the adapter that comes with the device. Make sure to check compatibility with other power sources on your devices.
Otherwise, it sounds like a great mod.

We had one of those outlets in the end of our counter. Finally replaced it with a standard duplex because the current supplied was so low it wouldn't charge our newer phones.

I checked my iPad and iPhone power requirements and they are different. That is why I chose the 3.6 amp usb instead of the 1 amp. If it has the correct voltage, and they are all the same, providing enough amperage to draw from should do it. Anyway it charged both last night.

Most of them that have enough power will charge OK. I have a Samsung phone and the quick charge circuitry is also in the plug adapter, so I can't get smart/quick charging without using that unless I use wireless charging pad, which I do most of the time. I just wanted to let you know in case you see that and think maybe something's wrong.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll consider myself lucky that it works for me.

I never heard of 3.6V USB, they are normally 5V.
